Davenport Island is a man-made island in a region called Huntington Harbor. This residential community is not incorporated, but is a part of the City of Huntington Beach. Many of the homes have boating docks to park their yachts and most the homes cost well over $1 million dollars, often ranging into several million. Davenport Island contains Weatherly Bay, a residential community located in Huntington Harbor. It consists of over 400 waterfront homes and features two bays, Weatherly and Christiana. The nearest cross streets are Warner and Algonquin.

Davenport Island homes with their boat slips and views of the bay feature three and four bedrooms and up to three and a half baths mostly. The majority of houses were built from 1968 to present. At the foot of the bridge on Davenport Lane is the small, local beach residents enjoy. The sand is not smooth there; it includes numerous broken seashells that create a rough texture.
