View from the Wedge at the end of Balboa Peninsula of a sailboat exiting Newport Harbor and passing Little Corona Beach

At The Wedge on Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach

I’m at “the wedge” and it is beautiful out. Sailboats are making their way out of Newport Harbor and off to destinations like Catalina Island, Dana Point and Coronado Island. I just saw a huge sting ray feeding off the area near the rocks. As usual, the locals are loving the skimboarding and belly boarding that the wedge is known for. The jetty helps to increase the size of the waves right before they break on the beach. You definitely need to come down here in the morning with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view. Here are a few pictures I just snapped with my phone.
